Angela Shelton was elected as a republican in 2010, and serves as Madison County Recorder. Angela Shelton's administration was the first to offer Property Fraud Alert a free service to help property owners combat identity thieves. Angela has implemented online access searchable property records online. Innovative technology such as E-Recording has been begun to streamline the process of how documents are recorded in Madison County. Angela Shelton is a 2008 graduate of Anderson University. Angela earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Organizational Leadership degree from Anderson University. Angela received her Associate Degree from Indiana University 2004. Angela has previously served as an instructor at Ivy Tech Community College in Muncie.

 

Angela was licensed as a Indiana Real Estate Salesperson in 1999. Angela worked in private businesses for over 10 years such as an Estate Law firm, Irwin Mortgage Company, and One American’s brokerage firm in Indianapolis. Angela has worked with Operation Compassion and the Angel Food program as a part of her church’s community outreach ministries.

 

Angela graduated from Pendleton Heights High School in 1996. Angela is married to Joseph Shelton who is currently the Senior Pastor at New Covenant Ministry Center located in Anderson and an Emergency Medical Technician with St. John’s Hospital. Joseph and Angela have been married for 10 years, and together they have three children.
